CA Blogging Assignment 4
When I read about the "enhanced" children in Radical Evolution, I thought it is very interesting, and very attractive. If I had a choice, I think I would like to be "enhanced", because I want to use more time for using the knowledge or abilities rather than trying to achieve them, even I enjoy the progress. I think even people are "enhanced", there would be a chance to improve. For example, even people are "enhanced", and could achieve almost every knowledge, there are some that they could not achieve, like something that does not exist yet. Creating new things must be one form of improvement, and people would still have a chance for it. I imagine if every people were same, it would be boring, but "enhancement" itself sounds enchanting for me.

I suspect there are many people who feel similarly to you. I myself would be very happy to have improved memory.
返信削除I understand your idea because I always wish I could improve memory to make studying easier.
返信削除I was rather pessimistic about the idea of "enhanced" people, but reading your blog entry, you've got me convinced that there are many pros in "enhancement" that could change our lives in a way we would never have imagined without the possibility of getting "enhanced." If there is a guarantee that the procedure of "enhancement" is perfectly safe, I would like to have a little enchantment myself.
返信削除Your idea is very interesting! Being enhanced might not be that bad...
返信削除Yes, I also think that even those enhanced guys will still be able to make improvements and feel the joy of achievement. Even the enhanced will never be perfect, since they are born of men who are imperfect.
返信削除Thank you for your comments.

I agree with you. I always imagine if I could improve my memory. There might be a problem if people could remember and recall everything(Ex. PTSD). I wonder how could this be balanced.

Yeah, safety is important. I am not sure if any technology could be perfectly safe, but I hope the "enhancement" to be nearly safe when I am still alive.

I think this kind of technology always have a dramatic, attractive sound.

I think I would able to feel the joy of achievement more if I was "enhanced", because I could challenge more advanced things.
